Folders Crumple your expectations up in a ball and throw them in the bin. Folders unfurls in a three-dimensional two-dimensional world, where dancers interact with paper dolls they create. In the end, the dolls and the strange world they inhabit exert more influence on the dancers than they think. Who is creating whom?
Folders introduces eight local teenagers to the world of professional dance. Its paper world is infused with their creativity and energy.
Folders is a community dance project by Laura Murphy. It features the work of visual artist Astrid Walsh, as well as costumes by Siobhan Ni Dhuinnin and a live music score by composer Irene Buckley.

A Dance Brew was performed at Firkin Crane as part of Cork Midsummer Festival 2015. A Dance Brew was a celebration of contemporary dance from community dance to professional works in Cork City. It showcased the range of projects created by the Dancer in Residence programme to include three performances Folders, Open Inquiry and Wunderbar.
