Laura graduated with a specialist diploma in Choreological Studies, Contemporary Developments in Rudolf Laban's Principals and Practice from Trinity Laban, London in July 2014.
Choreological Studies is founded in theories devised by Laban to analyse movement. A Choreological framework can be employed for observation, creating, performing and directing theatre. It is also used as a key to evaluate one's own work on an on-going basis whilst examining how theory can inform practice and visa-versa.
Laura is currently a tutor of Choreological Studies at The Irish World Music Centre, The University of Limerick at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Classes include both a practical and theoretical application of Choreological Studies.
Laura's Choreological Studies tutors/mentors include Dr. Valerie Preston Dunlop, Rosemary Brandt, Alison Curtis-Jones and Melanie Clarke.
